Mr. Maroof ur Rahman Mazumder joined NDB Capital Limited as the Managing Director & CEO on 20 February 2024. Mr. Maroof has over two decades of experience in the banking and financial industry of Bangladesh. He has an exemplary track record of successfully arranging and closing over 100 loan syndications (both in local currency and foreign currency) and debt capital market transactions. Prior to joining NDB Capital Limited, Mr. Maroof served at Standard Chartered Bank, Bangladesh as an Executive Director & Head of Capital Markets.

Some of the notable transactions completed by Mr. Maroof include:

• USD 400 million short term oil import finance facility for Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation
• USD 365 million syndicated finance for Biman Bangladesh Airlines Limited to procure Boeing 777-300 ER aircrafts
• BDT 1,073 crore syndicated finance for Robi Axiata Limited for their network expansion and 3G license acquisition

Mr. Maroof holds a B.Sc. Degree in Civil Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET) and Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka. In addition, he has also conducted numerous corporate training programs organized by Bangladesh Bank, Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management, IDCOL, Finexcel etc

Ms. Israt Jahan Anny has 13 years of experience in Financial Sector including various roles under Structured Finance Department and Credit Administration Department. She has experience in arrangement of large project finance, loan syndication and arrangement of Subordinated Bonds, Zero Coupon Bonds etc. in addition to this, she has in-depth knowledge in agency & trustee operations, documentation, disbursement, and post disbursement related operations.

Ms. Israt joined NDB Capital Limited as Senior Manager in December 2021. Prior to joining NDB Capital Limited, Israt worked in IDLC Finance Limited for almost 11 years in different fields of Structured Finance Department and Credit Administration Department.

She completed her MBA and BBA degrees, both with concentration in Finance, from the North South University.

An Investment Professional with five years’ experience in the Buy Side, Armaan is currently working as the Head of Portfolio Management at NDB Capital Limited. Prior to Joining NDB Capital, he worked extensively in Equity Research and Investment Management at couple of leading asset management companies in the country, namely- Universal Financial Solutions Limited and Impress Capital Limited. As an Equity Research Analyst, Armaan has covered diverse sectors including- Pharmaceuticals, Telecommunications, Financials, Engineering and Construction Materials. Subsequently, he was assigned with Investment Management activities at UFS.

Armaan has passed CFA Level 1 and completed his Undergraduate in Business Administration with Dual Major in Accounting, Finance & Economics from North South University with full merit scholarship.

Shabab completed his undergraduate in Business Administration in Finance from North South University (NSU) in January 2021. He was also awarded Magna cum Laude for his academic performance during his time at NSU. He has strong passion and interest in equity research, financial analysis, corporate finance and investment management.

Shabab joined NDB Capital on 6th September 2021. Prior to joining NDB Capital, he has worked as an intern at Southeast Bank Limited for 12 weeks. Currently, he is involved in deal execution as well as performing the agency functions for various fund raising activities. In additional, he also supports the marketing, compliance and IT functions of the company.

He worked as an intern in the General Bank Department of the bank in the Dhanmondi Branch. Furthermore, he has also worked as a Freelance Content Writer at One Little Web from June 2021 to August 2021.

Nibir completed his graduation from North South University. He holds a dual major in Finance and Economics and graduated with cum laude distinction. During his undergrad years he developed a keen interest in financial markets. He has a keen interest in equity research, valuation, portfolio optimization as well as analysis of different types of bonds and different aspects of investment finance.

Nibir has completed an internship with Dhaka Bank Limited where he was posted in their Finance and Administration department. His tasks consisted of different database creation, financial statement analysis and measuring performances of different branches.

In terms of his hobbies, Nibir is an avid follower of Formula 1 and football. His two favorite teams are Ferrari and Real Madrid. He also likes to collect model cars, watches and in his free time he likes to workout.

Ms. Saima Anis joined NDB Capital Limited as the Assistant Manager – Finance, HR & Compliance on 01 July 2024. Ms. Saima has over eight years of experience in the development sector of Bangladesh. She has good track record of performing overall accounts and administrative activities. Prior to joining NDB Capital Limited, Ms. Saima Anis served at Simavi Bangladesh, a Netherland based NGO as a Finance & Admin Assistant. 

Ms. Saima holds a BBS (Hons.) degree in Finance & Banking from Dhaka City College and Master’s in Business Studies (MBS) in Finance & Banking from Dhaka Commerce College.

Ms. Cindy began her professional journey in 2005, accumulating extensive experience across various industries, including buying houses, shipping lines, and real estate development. She joined NDB Capital Limited on February 16, 2012 as an Executive Assistant and currently holds the position of Officer – HR & Admin. Prior to joining NDB Capital Limited, she also served as an Executive Officer at My Home Limited.

With a proven track record of dedication and integrity, Ms. Cindy is known for her strong work ethic, punctuality, and eagerness to acquire new skills. Her friendly demeanor, helpful nature, and great sense of humor make her an asset to any team.

Beyond her professional responsibilities, Ms. Cindy enjoys cooking a variety of dishes and listening to music in her leisure time.

Sohel Rana joined NDB Capital Limited on 1st September 2013. Prior to joining NDB Capital, he worked at Ha-Meem Group as a Receive Delivery Coordinator. Sohel is currently working as an Executive Assistant in the Portfolio Management Department.

He has completed his MBS and BBS degrees, both with a concentration in the Management Department, from Govt. Titumir College.
